A high resolution Google+ icon to use anywhere you wish! Google+ is a brand new social network from no other than Google themselves. A fresh, clean interface with powerful functionality hints at future success for this new network. With it being new and all, there are few high-res icons available for use – here’s my bit for Google+.

Icon Inspiration

The initial idea came from the new network itself – no icons were available! Inspired by Google’s famous colours there was really nothing more to it. As I fiddled in Photoshop, the weaving tape became apparent. I simply sharpened it up a little and enhanced the 3D effect of the tape. The crisp, somewhat metallic, ‘g+‘ was inspired by the current Google+ ‘favicon’.

The Icon

Well, here it is. The icon itself is a little over 500x500px in size – the backdrop here is easily removable in the downloadable PSD.
